BoxBridge is a connection between Joomla and Box.net. You can manage your files on your box.net account and make advantage of the other available services. BoxBridge will display your box.net folders or files on your Joomla website easily.

Connect your box.net account first

To use this plugin for displaying your folders and files you first have to connect your box.net account with your website. Please visit www.2value.nl/plugins/boxbridge-connect.php to retrieve your authentication token. Copy and paste your authentication code in the plugin parameter field. After that you will be able to use the plugin.

How to display your folders & files?

You can choose between displaying a folder with multiple files or a single file on your webpage. Make use of the following syntaxes in your Joomla articles to display your box.net files in a page.

  • Use syntax {boxfile XXXXXXXXX} to display a single file. Replace XXXXXXXXX with the ID of the file you want to display. You can find the file ID in your browser address bar if you click on a file in your box.net account, use the numbers after 'f_'.
    Example: If the address bar looks like 'http://www.box.net/files#/files/0/f/39015042/1/f_420244658' your file ID is 420244658.
  • Use syntax {boxfolder YYYYYYYY} to display a folder. Replace YYYYYYYY with the ID of the folder you want to display. You can find the folder ID in your browser address bar if you click on folder in your box.net account, use the numbers after '/f/'.
    Example: If the address bar looks like 'http://www.box.net/files#/files/0/f/39015042/BoxBridge_folder_1' your folder ID is 39015042.

Note: Only shared files will be visible!

A single file or a file in your folder listing will only be displayed if you have set the file in the 'shared' mode in your box.net account. You can share a file by clicking on 'Share' for a file in a folder overview. 'Share' will change into 'Shared' if a file is shared.
